LVC鈥檚 Center of Academic Success and Exploration provides comprehensive, student-centered academic support to all LVC students. The Center’s main services include one-on-one academic coaching, peer subject tutoring, peer writing conferencing, and advising for Exploratory (undeclared) majors. Our professional team works to empower students in their journey to becoming independent, life-long learners prepared to meet academic challenges and successfully complete courses and programs.

We are proud to offer comprehensive, peer-led support for LVC students, including聽Peer Tutoring (one-to-one and small group), Organizational Tutoring, and Writing Tutoring.
Students can also work with an academic success coach on a weekly, bi-weekly, or one-off basis.
More than one in 10 LVC students start as Exploratory majors. That just means they haven鈥檛 settled on an academic direction. In a place with as many options as LVC, you鈥檒l have plenty of room to try out disciplines and find the right fit for you.
As an Exploratory major, you鈥檒l team up with an advisor who will help you try out courses and electives tailored to your interests and goals. Our general education core curriculum ensures you鈥檒l build the kind of universal skills needed to thrive no matter where your learning takes you.
The Office of Global Education, located within CASE, offers study abroad and study away programs for 映画传媒 Valley College students. In addition to a number of semester-long study abroad and study away programs, LVC offers several summer international programs. Jamie LaPine, Associate Director of Global Education, also supports LVC鈥檚 international students.
Julie Denniston, our dedicated transfer student advisor, supports transfer students from their first semester through graduation. She meets one-on-one with students to keep goals on track and connect them with CASE’s academic resources, from tutoring to academic coaching. As one consistent point of contact, she links transfers to the right people, resources, and opportunities across campus.
