Applicants who possess a bachelor鈥檚 degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university听will be considered for admission pending a review of the following requirements:

• Complete an听online application.
• A current professional r茅sum茅 or CV.
• A personal statement (maximum 500 words) focused on how the applicant will benefit from the degree program or an admission interview a program staff member.
  • After submitting your application, you will be able to choose your preferred option in the Graduate Application Portal.
• Provide official transcripts from your undergraduate college or university showing a recommended minimum college GPA of 3.00 (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree required to begin coursework.
  • Institutions outside of the United States must be recognized as a degree-granting institution in its home country. A course-by-course evaluation of all foreign university transcripts by an independent service based in the United States is required.听World Education Services (WES)听and听SpanTran Evaluation Services听are two suggested evaluators.听Please have your official evaluation sent directly to 映画传媒 Valley College.

At LVC, you complete the online Graduate Certificate in Autism, a 12-credit graduate certificate for PK-12 educators taught in 7-week terms. It builds research-based skills for teaching students with ASD, earns Pennsylvania Act 48 credit, and can stand alone or stack toward the Master of Education.

Yes. The certificate is 100% online with asynchronous courses, and delivered in accelerated 7-week terms with multiple start dates per year, so working teachers can complete it around a full teaching schedule.

You will study the characteristics and etiology of ASD; assessment for instructional planning; individualized interventions and inclusive classroom design; and collaboration with families and communities.

The certificate is 12 credits across four graduate courses in 7-week terms, so most teachers complete it in less than a year. The certificate costs $748 per credit, about $8,976 total.

All courses earn Pennsylvania Act 48 continuing-education credit, and the certificate aligns with the state’s Autism Program Endorsement Guidelines. LVC’s program has PDE endorsement approval.

It is designed for current PK-12 teachers and other educators who want research-based, neurodiversity-affirming skills for supporting students with autism, Act 48 credit, and a graduate credential that can stack into a full Master of Education.
